Award-winning Hamilton accommodation provider, Argent Motor Lodge, now has high-speed internet access, after joining the Ultrafast Broadband (UFB) fibre network.
The New Zealand Government has been undertaking an initiative to provide UFB using fibre optic technology, with the aim to provide broadband internet services to 75% of New Zealand homes, businesses, schools and healthcare facilities by 2021.
Argent Motor Lodge has always offered free WiFi to all their guests and the staff are happy to give assistance using the internet to those who need it. Operations Manager at Argent Motor Lodge, Leah Lindsay, says having Ultra Fast Broadband available in all units now adds another level of convenience and comfort to guests.
"We always want to ensure people staying with us are as comfortable as possible and have all facilities readily available to them," says Ms Lindsay. "Now our guests can enjoy faster download and upload speeds, more reliable connectivity and sharper video calls."
Building the UFB network has involved laying fibre optic cables, usually underground, employing contractors using techniques such as underground directional drilling, which limits damage to surface areas such as gardens and driveways.
Argent Motor Lodge has rooms which are ideal for families, couples, corporate travellers and independent travellers, with clean, modern facilities and friendly service. Family rooms can accommodate families of up to five and wheelchair accessible units are available.
Argent Motor Lodge is right next to Waikato Hospital, with easy access to the City Centre, cycle trails and of course the world-famous, award-winning Hamilton Gardens.
